Accessing Lock-Net Newsgroups |
|
Lock-net provides access to thousands of newsgroups. To access these newsgroups, you will need a "newsreader". A newsreader is a program that is capable of searching and displaying newsgroups and the messages they contain. Outlook Express (which comes on most Windows machines) has a built in newsreader. Below are instructions for setting it up to access Lock-Net's news server.
*NOTE: This information will only work if you are dialed in to Lock-Net. If you use a different ISP, these setting will not work. For usernames and passwords to access certain restricted newsgroups, please contact us.
Congratulations! You are set up to access the Lock-Net Newsgroups!
